Where to stay

Our wedding will take place in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) at The Oviatt. While you’re welcome to stay downtown, we recommend booking accommodations in one of LA’s surrounding neighborhoods for a more enjoyable, walkable, and character-filled experience.

Below are a few of our favorite areas, along with approximate travel times to the venue. (Drive times assume light traffic — this is Los Angeles, so always give yourself a little cushion.)

Silver Lake/Echo Park/Los Feliz

15-20 min to DTLA

If you want charming, creative, and quintessentially LA, this is your area. Think palm trees, vintage architecture, hillside views, great coffee, and independent shops. These neighborhoods feel local and lived-in, with lots to explore before and after the wedding weekend.

West Hollywood

25-35 min to DTLA

For guests who want classic LA glamour and nightlife, West Hollywood (WeHo) is a fabulous option. It’s polished, vibrant, and deeply rooted in queer history. Expect great restaurants, rooftop bars, and high-end hotels.

Koreatown

15-20 min to DTLA

Koreatown is where we live! It's lively, central, and known for incredible food and nightlife. It’s more urban than the eastside neighborhoods, but offers great hotel value and easy access to downtown.

Pasadena

20-30 min to DTLA

If you prefer something quieter and more picturesque, Pasadena offers tree-lined streets, beautiful historic architecture, and a charming Old Town district. It feels a bit removed from the intensity of central LA while still being an easy drive to the venue.

A note on transportation:

We recommend using Uber or Lyft to get to and from the venue. If you plan to drive, there will be a public parking lot available across the street from The Oviatt or a valet service available through the Cicada Club downstairs.

Los Angeles traffic can be unpredictable, especially on weekends, so please allow extra time when traveling to Downtown.
